Kenneth Creed makes solid wood furniture by hand, one piece at a time, in collaboration with private clients, furniture designers, artists and decorators. His furniture is crafted with care and precision, combining clean lines and traditional joinery in pieces that are built to last for generations. They are simple, refined, solid, beautiful, and functional, and none is exactly like another. From first conversation, to the design process, to careful selection of lumber with just the right grain and color for a particular project, to construction at his shop, Creed genuinely enjoys working with clients in creating furniture that they want but have never seen. A former educator and school head, Creed has been making furniture for 35 years. He lives in Manhattan and Pound Ridge, New York with his wife and scruffy dog. They have two college age children.
